Sponsor Tom- he's climbing kilimanjaro for Marie Curie!

Budding Cold Blooded Crew member, Tom Mean is bravely climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this summer to hopefully raise thousands of pounds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Tomorrow night he's holding a masquerade ball to raise funds- if you're not doing anything, be sure to pop along. Tickets are £10 on the door with 100% proceeds going to the charity! The location of the ball is:
Seth Ward Community Centre
Luynes Rise
Buntingford
Herts
SG9

We are proud to announce not only our support for Tom but also our sponsorship!! We have two new tops (a gents tee and ladies vest) available in our shop for you to wear so you too can support Tom's Trek, and also to pledge your allegiance to Tabitha's Cold Blooded Crew! Not only that, but for each and every tee sold, Tabitha's will donate 50% of the commission we make to Tom's Trek for the Marie Curie Cancer Care!! What other reason do you need? So slink your way along to Tabitha's Tees and get involved! Go via our website or direct: http://www.snakesandladies.spreadshirt.co.uk/ !!

We've kept the tees nice and simple (but they do all have text front and back) for the pure reason that they're cheaper for you to buy, and we can give more commission to the charity.

GO TOM!!

We're in the newspaper!

Exciting times! Well, the Cambridge Weekly, actually. And it's not "us" as such- it's Hairy the tarantula with Daisy at Honey Pr, featured in the business section following the pr company's arachnophobia day last week!!

The girls at Honey Pr blogged about our visit too: http://www.honeypr.wordpress.com/

and Daisy's full set of pictures from the day can be viewed at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/daisyduke/ These shots also give you a good idea of what goes on during phobia and coaching sessions, as we took Talulah the boa constrictor along aswell!

We're really chuffed that Hairy has made it to press, and especially pleased because this is actually our second mention in a Cambridge publication this month! The first being in the Cambridgeshire journal, where we get a mention in a "people" feature on Kim Brinnen, our chief seamstress and costume designer.
Other news from the snakes den: Chainsaw enjoyed his first mousy meal since the autumn, not his mating urges have passed, and the springtime is here, and Inca tried her first ever rat pups last night, which thankfully she put away quite happily (even though they don't taste so good as mice), so her growth will really rocket this summer!!
We have another exciting june job in the pipeline and more media exposure to share with you soon- watch this space!!

Arachnophobia day at Honey PR!

The lovely ladies at Honey PR have started a new adventure that some of them may regret- an A to Z of out of their comfort zone activities!!

Today it was A for arachnophobia, so Honey hired Hairy the tarantula to put the intrepid PR girls through their paces. Not the usual day in the office for five lovely ladies usually busy helping businesses on a national as well as local scale improve their profile, sales and profits, though these girls are always up for a challenge and their existing client base includes the likes of Airkix indoor skydiving and Go Ape assault courses!

The sweating plams and fearful eye rolling was soon forgotten as soon as I took Hairy out of her container and the girls each had a go at handling her, quickly overcoming their fears and admiring her curly pink hair, and learning about all her special adaptations- even looking at her fangs! Well done everyone!

Most of our clients and prospective clients don't realise we at Tabitha's are not just snake specialists, but we also supply a range of other "creepy crawlies" for phobia coaching and also for studio photography. In addition to Hairy the tarantula, other creatures on our books include giant tree frogs, rats (including hairless rats) and mice, giant cockroaches and lizards, all of which are accustomed to fearful people and studio settings.

Full info on creepy crawlie hire is available via out website http://www.snakesandladies.co.uk/

Full photos from the day at the Honey PR can be viewed at http://www.flickr.com/photos/snakesandladies
